The latest release from Dewar’s, called Ilegal Smooth, finishes Scotch in mezcal.
Ilegal Smooth is an 8-year-old blended Scotch, double-aged, and finished in Ilegal mezcal casks. Dewar’s and Ilegal are both Bacardi brands.
The liquid’s flavor profile has notes of caramel, sliced green pepper and a wisp of smoke, the company says.

Dewar’s Scotch Ilegal Smooth will be available this April for a suggested retail price of $21.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
