Heavensake is a Franco-Japanese sake brand, now available in the U.S.
The product is blended by Champagne producer Régis Camus, in partnership with the House of Dassai in Japan. In collaboration with sake brewery Urakasumi, Camus also created the world’s first Junmai Ginjo as the second blend in the lineup.
Heavensake first launched in 2016, in Europe. The sake is meant to be consumed on its own, served chilled, neat or on the rocks in a highball or white wine glass.
The brand has two flagship products. Junmai Daiginjo (SRP: $95-$100) has a floral composition that mixes lily, iris, lilac, hyacinth and jasmine with herbal notes, the company reports. The floral notes blend with the sweetness of muscat grapes and red fruits. In collaboration with sake brewery Urakasumi, Heavensake presents a second blend: the Junmai Ginjo (SRP: $45 – $50). Floral on the nose, with aromas of citrus peel and blossoming apple trees, the company reports.
